Charles-Henri is a French-qualified partner He has extensive experience in international and domestic projects related to corporate laws, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and negotiations, foreign investment, competition system, regulatory and legislative issues.

The following examples include Mr. Charles’s previous experience in transactions:

• With over 20 years’ experience in the Kingdom, Charles-Henri has fairly unique experience in terms of advising major Saudi and international clients in relation to their Saudi ventures and cross-border transactions.
• Charles-Henri has led legal negotiation teams on behalf of the purchasers in the acquisition of companies in the field of industrial gases, mining, and services (e.g. electronics, security, electric services, engineering services, construction, manufacturing, etc.). Charles-Henri has also advised various sellers in the sale of companies in the business of water and distribution services.
• Charles-Henri is currently advising leading international groups in connection with acquisitions, corporate restructuring and/or joint ventures. Charles-Henri also recently advised several companies in relation with their bids for government projects.
• Charles has developed several international studies specializing in demonstrating the differences between the Saudi system compared to the regulations of the United States of America and the European Union in many areas such as retail and distribution issues (including franchises) and competition issues (including policy pricing, antitrust regulations and policies).

Mr. Charles has been a licensed lawyer in France since 1994 and has worked for one of Europe’s leading law firms until he moved to Saudi Arabia in 1997 to engage in legal service delivery and consultancy activity from now on. In addition, Mr. Charles was a partner in the White & Case office from November 2010 to December 2015.
